itopia Spaces relies on native identity and access technologies provided by Google Cloud. User credentials are neither visible to nor stored by itopia; all identity functions are performed by Google.

With Spaces, users authenticate with a Google identity, such as a G Suite or Gmail account. Authentication is handled by Google OAuth and authorization by Google Identity Aware Proxy (IAP), which presents the credentials to Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) to authorize the user to access the Spaces resources.
