📌 Important: During the OneDrive setup process, you'll see a screen asking if you want to stay signed in across all apps. You must select “No, this app only” to avoid issues. Choosing the wrong option can cause your files to stop syncing after your session ends.

🔧 Steps to Sign in to OneDrive Correctly

Open OneDrive

  • Launch OneDrive from the Start Menu

Enter Your School Email

  • Type in your school email address and click Sign in.

Enter Your Password

  • Use your school login password and click Sign in.

Choose "No, this app only"

  • You’ll now see a screen that says:

Stay signed in to all your apps?

Choose:
No, this app only
🚫 Do NOT select Yes, all apps

▶ Continue Setup

Once signed in, you'll go through a few OneDrive setup screens. Follow these steps:

Your OneDrive folder

  • Click Next (no need to change the default location).

Get to know OneDrive

  • Click Next.

Share files and folders

  • Click Next.

All your files, ready and on demand

  • Click Next.

Get the mobile app

  • Click Later.

Your OneDrive is ready for you

  • Click Open my OneDrive folder.

Done! You're all set.

❗ Why “No, this app only” Matters

CloudApps uses temporary (ephemeral) virtual machines. If you choose “Yes, all apps,” the system tries to register the VM with your school, which isn’t supported. This causes OneDrive to stop syncing the next time you log in.

If you accidentally chose “Yes, all apps,” your teacher or admin may need to reset your profile so you can start over.
